Nearest Sakura Spot from Haneda Airport (Tokyo 2026) 🌸 5 Minutes by Train

Tokyo

If you’re transiting through Haneda Airport or staying nearby, you probably don’t have time to travel far into central Tokyo to see cherry blossoms. But there’s a spot you can actually reach.

Just 5 minutes by train and about a 20-minute walk will take you to a quiet riverside path along the Tama River near Otorii Station. This is one of the closest places to enjoy sakura near Haneda Airport.

🚃 Access
Keikyu Line → Otorii Station (about 5 minutes from Haneda Airport), then around a 20-minute walk to the Tama River.

🌸 What it’s like
Cherry blossoms stretch along the river, creating long scenic paths and even tunnel-like sections. It’s a local spot, so it’s much quieter than the famous places in central Tokyo. You’ll see people walking, relaxing, and enjoying the view at their own pace. Some people bring food and have a small picnic under the trees.

🧺 Tips
You’ll find convenience stores on the way from Otorii Station, so grabbing snacks is easy. Please take your trash with you, or use the bins at the store where you bought them. Trash bins are limited in Japan, so it’s best to plan ahead.

📅 Best time to visit
Late March to early April is usually the best time to see cherry blossoms in Tokyo. In 2026, the peak is expected around late March to early April, and you can often still enjoy them until around April 10.
