Hello! I’m Michiko
I am a female Japanese writer, marketer and traveller.
After living in Europe (England and France) for several years, I came back to my hometown,Tokyo and now I enjoy travelling in Japan as well as overseas.
I witnessed foreign tourists missing many things like gourmet, places, or activities they should experience due to language issues.
So! I decided to launch this blog in English to help you. I know there are many English guide books about Japan, but…who wrote those books?
I am Japanese and know what you should eat, where you should go, and what you should know.
I was working on advertising strategies in IT fields after graduating from a notable national University in Tokyo, and with this career experience, I joined the MBA in Birmingham Business school in England and wrote a dissertation to acquire the degree.
So, hopefully my English is good enough to give you a hand here, but fortunately I have a very kind British friend to ask for corrections.
During my stay in England, I became completely fascinated with European atmosphere…luckily I got the opportunity to live in Paris for a few years, so now I can handle French to some extent but I can’t say I’m fluent.
European languages are always difficult for Japanese…due to the completely different structure of the Japanese language. You would be surprised how less English friendly this country is.
But I want you to know the various attractions of Japan. Actually, I am also learning. Japan is smaller than the US or China, but much bigger than the UK. Japan is diverse.
